Vibrant Replay! Emotions in Motion

Vibrant Replay! Emotions in Motion

At this point in time, with all these emotions coming up for so many people, it is more important than ever that we know how to process what we are feeling, rather than trying to stuff, stifle or ignore what is going on.

Many people don’t realize they are blocking their emotions when they don’t let themselves think about things that are bothering them. They are not aware that when they bite their lip rather than tell somehow how angry they feel at that moment, they could be stuffing what they are feeling and, by doing so, hurting themselves and their relationship.

Other’s think that by striking out at the other person they are releasing the feeling and don’t realize the feeling is swirling in them and growing stronger with every instant replay of the event. Still other’s think they are being the bigger person by swallowing what’s going on for them and ignoring the feeling altogether.

When it comes to feelings, most of us have never really been taught healthy ways to cope and so we struggle through each day trying to appear centered and balanced to others, all the while wondering why we over-react to things, could cry at a drop of a hat or have so much tension in our shoulders they might as well be earrings.

Not processing how we feel can create all kinds of health issues, relationship difficulties and communication problems. How can we possibly live joyously when we are constantly struggling to control energy that doesn’t want to be contained?

I’ve done several Vibrant, Powerful Moms shows on feelings in the last few years, because they are that important, so I decided to choose Getting Emotions in Motion as my vibrant replay for today.

Listen to the show for a variety of ideas on how you can process emotions, and then pick up my complimentary handout below as a quick guide to use when you need an idea on the fly.

A wonderful quote for you to contemplate:

“When times are bad, it feels like they will be bad forever. When times are good, it feels like it will be good forever. Neither one is true.  Life comes in seasons.”
