When something traumatic happens in our lives, it is very tempting to fall into that pit of despair and try to scream, wish or cry the whole thing away. Yet when Lisa Luckett lost her husband in the 9/11 tragedy, she somehow found the courage to go in a different direction.

Finding herself alone with 3 young kids (7, 4 and 4 months) and a dysfunctional extended family that only made the situation worse, she vowed that her husband, Teddy, and the others who died on that day would not die in vain.

Today, Lisa says, 9/11 actually healed her, changing her life forever in a positive direction.
